Privacy Policy

Last updated: August 21, 2026

This policy explains how Judiciary Insight handles information when you visit judiciaryinsight.com, subscribe to the newsletter, contact us, or leave a tip.

Information you provide

  • Newsletter subscriptions: When you subscribe, your email address and any other information you enter are submitted to Kit, our email service provider. Kit processes that information so we can manage subscriptions and send the newsletter.
  • Messages: If you email us, we receive the address you use and the contents of your message so we can respond.
  • Tips: Tips and their associated checkout information are processed by Kit through its commerce service. Judiciary Insight does not directly collect or store your full payment-card details.

Information collected when you visit

Our hosting provider may process standard request and diagnostic information, such as an IP address, browser or device information, requested pages, and timestamps, to deliver and secure the site.

The site also contains content and scripts supplied by third parties:

  • Google AdSense provides advertising and may use cookies, web beacons, IP addresses, or other identifiers to serve, personalize, and measure ads, prevent fraud, and produce reporting. Google and its advertising partners may place or read cookies in your browser when advertising code loads.
  • YouTube provides embedded videos and may receive information when a video or embed loads or when you interact with it.
  • Kit provides the newsletter form and tip checkout and may use cookies or similar technologies when those features load or are used.

Those services handle information under their own policies. You can review how Google uses information from sites that use its services, the Google Privacy Policy, and Kit’s Privacy Policy. You can also manage how Google personalizes ads through Google’s ad settings.

Judiciary Insight does not currently use Google Analytics. The site may save your light or dark theme preference in your browser so it can remember your selection. Where required, the site displays a consent message that lets visitors manage advertising choices before eligible personalized advertising is served.

How information is used

We use information to:

  • operate, maintain, and secure the website;
  • deliver and manage the newsletter you requested;
  • process voluntary tips;
  • respond to messages, corrections, and other inquiries; and
  • understand and improve the site’s performance and coverage.

We do not sell your personal information. Information may be shared with service providers when necessary to operate the website, newsletter, and tip checkout, or when disclosure is required by law.

Your choices

You can unsubscribe from newsletter emails using the unsubscribe link included in each message. You can also contact us to ask about, correct, or request deletion of information you have provided directly to Judiciary Insight. Information controlled by a third-party provider may also be subject to that provider’s request process and retention requirements.

You can control cookies and site storage through your browser settings. Blocking third-party scripts may prevent embedded videos, newsletter forms, or checkout features from working.

Retention and security

We retain information only for as long as reasonably necessary for the purposes described above, including operational, security, and legal needs. No online service can guarantee absolute security, but we take reasonable steps to protect the information under our control.

Children’s privacy

Judiciary Insight is a general-audience news and information website and is not directed to children under 13. We do not knowingly collect personal information from children under 13.
